If You're Not Angry, You're Not Paying Attention

This is a blog about the ever-elusive idea of beauty that has fascinated me since I was old enough to be aware of the expectations placed on my body.

If you scroll back to the beginning you'll notice that I started this blog as a response to the bullshit photoshopped images of "beauty" that are circulated for the public's consumption. However, after I picked at that thread, the whole thing unravelled and from it came so many other questions and issues that needed to be addressed.

Stand up and join this bitch march if you're sick of seeing already beautiful people massacred and trotted out in an ever-growing beauty pagent, set to a death march that claims millions in eating- disordered deaths, suicides, and self-hatred because no magazine comes with the warning:

"ATTENTION consumers, images may be rendered unrecognizable and thereby do not imply that you should ever attempt to become what you see!"

THIS SHOULDN’T EVEN BE AN ISSUE.
In the real world, Khloé Kardashian is still pretty thin and gorgeous. her body is PERFECT. Everyone in the fashion/celebrity industry needs to - in all seriousness - jump off a cliff somewhere. I’m tired of pompus fashion and weight snobs acting like they’re unrealistic industry standard reasonable translates to the rest of America. Maintaining a super skinny physique should be someone’s career, but that’s how it seems. My friend told me that in the corporate world you NEED to look super fashionable all the time and make sure you’re perfectly groomed. I was like: umm… no. you work in retail - you’re just surrounded by a bunch of wannabe fashionistas who have their head stuck up their asses.
The worst part is that it says she’s responding to critics. WHO THE HELL DOES THAT? who makes it their job to critique someone elses body. for what? she’s not even a model, which would be the only instance where i would sort of understand someone finding it necessary to remark on someone’s body. get a life. is she too flabby to.. what? walk down the fucking street to check her damn mail.  someone help me understand…
Moral of the story: In the real world, no one gives a shit if you’re … i can’t even describe what Khloé Kardashian is cause it’s NORMAL AS HELL. Tabloids, chill the fuck out about body issues.
